From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a business owner. As a little girl, I was always looking for ways to earn money—whether it was running lemonade stands, mowing lawns, babysitting, or finding my next little business idea.

In high school, a friend and I noticed that the vending machines at our school were charging students a premium for everyday snacks like candy bars, chips, pop, and gum. We saw an opportunity and decided to create our own “Locker Store,” selling the same types of products at more affordable prices. It was one of my first experiences recognizing a problem, finding a solution, and turning an idea into a business.

My interest in technology eventually led me to NAIT, where I studied Application Development. I dreamed of one day owning an IT consulting business, and shortly after graduating, I landed my first IT consulting contract.

Over the years, I spent more than 20 years working in IT and consulting with organizations to identify problems, improve processes, and find effective technology solutions. Along the way, I learned that owning a business takes much more than having a good idea. It requires communication, efficiency, reliability, organization, and a genuine commitment to your clients.

As my career progressed, I discovered that one of the things I enjoyed most was helping businesses find better ways to operate—especially finding solutions that could save money while still delivering results.

That realization eventually led me to bookkeeping.

I decided to combine my years of experience in technology, problem-solving, and business consulting with my passion for helping organizations succeed. I completed my Applied Bookkeeping Certificate through NAIT and began building my own bookkeeping business.

Today, my goal is simple: help small businesses understand their numbers, improve their processes, save money, and make confident business decisions.

For me, entrepreneurship has come full circle—from lemonade stands and a high-school locker store to IT consulting and now helping businesses with their finances.

I’ve always believed that a good business solution starts with understanding the problem. That’s what I bring to every client.
